MIL-W-16878 wire is a high performance, low-weight MIL-Spec wire with a temperature range of -65 to +260 degrees Celsius. It is available with voltage ratings from 250 to 5000 volts.
The military, aerospace, medical, and commercial industries often use the M16878 wire in digital and harness applications in. This MIL-Spec wire is mostly used for the internal wiring of electronic equipment.
In addition to having wide temperature and voltage ratings, MIL-W-16878 is available in a variety of insulation and conductor types. However, polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) insulation is the most commonly used type of insulation for the M16878 wire. PTFE has strong resistance to ultra-violet radiation, stress, chemicals, and mold. It is also non-toxic and biocompatible. Because of the PTFE insulation, the M16878 wire is smaller and lighter than MIL-spec wires with other types of insulation.
Our large inventory of M16878 wires is available in a variety of AWG sizes and weights. We can strip, twist, or cut it to fit your applications needs.
